1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using this website, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions, as well as all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or our services.

Bond Payment Policy

  • You may be required to provide your bank details for bond refunds.

  • Bond payments are fully refunded within 1–2 business days after the event, unless damage to our props or equipment is found.

  • Refunds are made via bank transfer to your nominated account. We will contact you after your event to obtain these details.

Setup Payment Policy

  • Full payment is required immediately upon completion of the event setup at the venue.

  • We accept cash only on the day, unless another method has been agreed upon in writing in advance.

  • Failure to pay on the day may result in legal action to recover the amount owed.

  • Clients are expected to have payment ready, just as we arrive prepared with the agreed-upon setup.

Booking Process Policy

  • We begin preparing your event setup (including decorations and customisations) only after both the deposit and bond are received.

  • We will not proceed with your booking if these payments are not finalised. It is imperative that this step is completed to secure your event with us.

2. Use License

You may view, download, and print materials from this website for personal, non-commercial use only.

You may not:

  • Modify, copy, or reproduce materials from the site

  • Use content for commercial or resale purposes

  • Attempt to reverse engineer or alter any aspect of the website

  • Remove copyright or proprietary notices

  • Use, reuse, or republish any text, designs, or photos from this site (including social media content) without written permission

All forms of plagiarism or unauthorized use are strictly prohibited.

3. Event Booking

All event bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.

You may be required to pay:

  • A deposit to secure your booking

  • A bond (refundable, see Section 1)

All payments and refunds are governed by our Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy below.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on this website—including logos, designs, text, graphics, and images—is the property of Next Event Melbourne, unless otherwise credited, and is protected under Australian copyright and intellectual property laws.

5. Limitation of Liability

Next Event Melbourne is not liable for any loss, damages, or disruptions caused by:

  • Your use or inability to use this website

  • Delays, cancellations, or technical issues affecting our service

All content and services are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind.

6. Third-party Links

We may include links to third-party websites for your convenience.
 Next Event Melbourne is not responsible for the content, terms, or privacy practices of any external sites.

7. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
 By using our services, you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that state.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

At Next Event Melbourne, we invest time, labour, and materials into every event setup. To protect both parties, the following cancellation and rescheduling terms apply:

 

Deposit & Preparation

Once your deposit is received, we begin:

  • Creating customised items (e.g. signage, decor)

  • Packing props and supplies

  • Scheduling staff and logistics

 

Cancellations

If you cancel within 7 days of your event date, you will incur a cancellation fee starting from $200, depending on:

  • Type of event

  • Size and complexity of the setup

  • Customisations included

  • Labour, fuel, and materials already prepared

 

Rescheduling

  • If you choose to reschedule, the cancellation fee will be waived, provided:

    • The new date is agreed upon with our team

    • We are available on the new date

  • If we are not available, the cancellation fee will apply.

  • Rescheduling must be requested at least 2 days prior to the event.

    • If less than 2 days’ notice is given, a penalty starting from $200 will be charged, based on labour, materials, and transport already underway.

 

Non-Refundable Deposits

All deposits are non-refundable, as they:

  • Secure your event date exclusively

  • Prevent us from accepting other bookings for that day

  • Cover customisation, materials, and early prep work for your setup
